The use of drugs by minors is greater now than it has ever been, despite cautious parents, numerous deaths and anti drug campaigns. How do you hope to teach and protect your children from this, without sheltering them?
I teach my kids about drugs in methods they can understand. I think addiction is part of all human being's lives, whether they call it addition, fetish, or "something I like to do a lot". They need to understand addiction has consequences, and what those consequences are.

They say retarded children are born to punish the parents for sin. It's really punishing the kids though. Not as much the Parents.
That's just cruel. To think of people with disabilities as a punishment is inhumane. It's shameful to even talk that way.

What was a book you read that changed you life?
That's a tough one. The Bible might be a cliché answer, but it continues to change my life on a regular basis as I read more of it. There have been many. Mere Christianity (Lewis) influenced the way I see religion. Why Black People Tend To Shout shaped my views on race. A Light In The Forest helped me identify myself within my rather confusing surroundings. I read a great deal of Asimov and Heinlein, when I was young, which helped shape my view of technology and the future.
Ask me another question, I'll be honest.

How do you typically react when you are angry?
Better than I used to. When I was younger, I had a really bad temper. I didn't always show it, most of the time I'd keep it pretty bottled up. I developed a more carefree attitude in college, but that began to wane after I graduated and the stresses and responsibilities began to build up. Soon I was not only hot tempered again, but because I was being more open about how I felt, I reacted pretty badly. Thankfully, I'm rediscovering that carefree attitude once more.
Are you happy?
I am. I couldn't always say that. But I am. I think it's a result of realizing that being happy was a choice. Sounds super cheesy, but I realize that no matter what the situation is, I could honestly choose to be ok. And not worry. That to me right now is the opposite of being happy; worrying. So yes, I'm happy. :)

I'm fiercely loyal to the point of being a zealot, I'm stubborn, loud, and my faults get the better of me. I can think of no better position to be in than that to learn to be a better man of God than from His Son Himself.

Stupidest thing you ever did with your cell phone?
I do a lot of extremely foolish things with my cellphone. But that's also why I got an otterbox, so I can do foolish things with my cellphone. It's only by doing the foolish things that I would even consider having one.
Lately I've been using it as a camera since it takes such cool pictures. So I'll do things like hold it in front of an oncoming train or strap it to the handlebars of my motorcycle to get cool shots.

Ever seen a real ghost in real life?
I think so. When I was younger, a house burned down in the village with a man still inside.
A bunch of my friends (Annie Nattawappio, April Guanish, Joanne Chemaganish, Noah Nabinicaboo, Ruby Nabinicaboo, Jeanne Einish and Donna Einish) and I went out ghost hunting. There we reports of the ghost of the man being seen, so we went out to investigate.
An old building had been dragged and placed over the lot where the house had once stood, and had been turned into a rec center. The building was old, though, and sagged in a lot of places, despite being propped up by railroad ties in places.
We went up to the building, looked underneath (it was 4 feet off the ground) and saw a shadowy man crouched underneath the building staring out at us.
We didn't go ghost hunting anymore after that.

Ever felt that no one relates to you?
Constantly.
I feel alienated, like I don't really have a true home.
I've got some of my parents in me, but I'm not the same as them.
I've got Naskapi in me, but no one here is that.
I've got Jancewicz in me, but I don't know that legacy.
I've got Kenney in me, but that's all mystery.
I'm an intellectual, but don't like the stigma.
I'm an artist, but don't get most art.
I'm a writer but I don't have an English major's precision.
I'm a musician, but don't like indie music and can't read notation.
I don't fit in. And I know it's a good thing in a lot of ways. But sometimes it's just lonely.
